锺庆龙筒介
锺庆龙(Tommy Chung)被誉为第一位香港蓝调音乐的先驱。Tommy于1996年在香港推出他生平第一只蓝调音乐专辑名为“Play My Blues”。“Play My Blues” 是首只由本地音乐人灌录并在香港推出的纯蓝调专辑。而Tommy的第二只专辑“Blues Talk”及第三只专辑“Blues Times”亦先后于2002及2004年推出。于灌录专辑的时侯,Tommy 有机会和来自日本,美国和香港等不同地方的顶尖级音乐大师合作。而这三只专辑均由一位在日本享誉盛名的结他大师竹田和夫(Kazuo Takeda)所监制。而这三只专辑在日本和香港都极获好评。
出生于香港的Tommy 在九岁的时候已对音乐产生浓厚兴趣。于青少年时期留学英国并于当地的伦敦大学取得法律学位。Tommy 于80年代早期从英国返回香港实习并取得执业大律师资格。但Tommy对音乐的热诚一直有增无减。从事了18年半大律师生涯的Tommy最后决定退下来去追求自己毕生最大理想:唱弹他的至爱“蓝调”。
早在1992年,Tommy已开始在日本表演。他曾在日本北海道多个地方巡回表演。当Tommy推出第二只专辑时,EMI为Tommy的音乐专辑在香港发行。而日本发行商则为BSMF。透过日本发行商的关系,Tommy开始于日本多个不同地方如东京,横滨,大阪及京都等知名蓝调酒吧表现。Tommy曾于多个知名场地表演和他同台演出的有日本知名音乐人如:竹田和夫(Kazuo Takeda),大家昌治(Masa Oya),高谷寿司(Takatani),吾妻光良(Mitsuyoshi Azuma)和妹尾龙一郎(“Weep Harp”Senoh)。
于2000年,Tommy 经营香港第一间蓝调酒吧名为“48th Street Chicago Blues”而每个星期三及星期六均?由他表?。他的音乐吸引了很多来自不同地方的游客。Tommy的酒吧亦备受日本及英国的知名旅游杂志所推介。于2003年,英国广播电台(BBC)远渡由英国到香港为Tommy及他的酒吧做了一个专访。
Tommy的音乐是扎根于蓝调,他今时今日的音乐是融合了蓝调和现代感。Tommy备受观众赞赏的地方是他的唱功及被冠以闪电结他手的称号。
此次北京的演出Tommy特别邀请了日本著名的鼓手Funky 末吉、中国著名的音乐制作人、结他手龙隆作为其乐队的鼓手和贝司手,同时香港另一位著名结他手王驰也将作为演出嘉宾同Tommy一起登台演奏。

About Tommy Chung
Tommy Chung (嬉??) is the foremost Bluesman and a pioneer in Blues music in Hong Kong. In 1996, he released in Hong Kong his first recording “Play My Blues”. “Play My Blues” was the first ever Blues recording released in Hong Kong by a local artist. His second CD “Blues Talk” was released in 2002 and his third CD “Blues Times” was released in 2004. In recording his music, Tommy had collaborated with top class professional musicians in Japan and America and in Hong Kong. All three recordings were produced by one of Japan’s most respected guitar masters Mr. Kazuo Takeda ( 竹田和夫 ). All three CDs received critical acclaim in Japan and in Hong Kong.
Tommy was born in Hong Kong and by the age of 9 he was already deeply into music. His adolescene was spent in England where he obtained a Law degree at the University of London. In the early 1980’s, he came back to Hong Kong after passing the Bar Exams and became qualified to practice as a barrister-in-law in Hong Kong. His love for music, however, never dwindled but increased over time. After 18 and a half year practicing law he finally finished his legal practice to do the one thing he loved most on life : to play the guitar and sing the Blues.
Since 1992, Tommy Chung has been playing in Japan. He had toured all over Hokkaidio in Japan. After the release of his second CD, EMI Hong Kong became the distributor of Tommy’s music in Hong Kong and in Japan, BSMF became the distributor of Tommy’s music. With a distributorship of his music in Japan, Tommy started touring Japan playing in all the well-known Blues clubs in Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka and Kyoto. Tommy had played numerous shows at professional venues in Japan and had performed with some of the top musicians in Japan with names like Kazuo Takeda (竹田和夫), Masa Oya ( 大家昌治), Takatani ( 高谷?司 ), Mitsuyoshi Azuma (吾妻光良) and “Weep Harp” Senoh (妹尾?一郎).
In the year of 2000, Tommy opened the first Blues club in Hong Kong “48th Street Chicago Blues” where he played every Wednesday and Saturday. His music attracted many tourists who come to Hong Kong from all over the world. His Blues club was mentioned and recommended in the leading tourist guides in Japan and England. In the year of 2003, BBC Radio in England came to Hong Kong to do a documentary on Tommy and his Blues club.
Tommy’s music is firmly rooted in the Blues. His music today combines his Blues roots with a modern approach. He is particularly known for his singing and lightning fast guitar playing.
